- Job Description:
Case practice support workers work within a team to provide a range of case support tasks for clients within the Child Protection program. The tasks include, but are not limited to, supervising access visits between children and their families where there are safety or risk issues present, transporting children to services and providing in home support to families.
- Requirement:
Some knowledge of the DFFH and child protection program goals, values, principles, standards and role within the broader child protection system.
A basic understanding of child development, attachment and trauma theories as they relate to child protection practice.
Demonstrated ability to engage with children, young people, their families and carers.
Demonstrated ability to participate in the planning and monitoring of access arrangements between children and young people in out of home care and their families.
Demonstrated ability to engage with a number of professionals in matters relating to the transport and access of clients.
Mandatory
A valid driver's licence.
A current Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) card.
7. Desirable
A minimum qualification of a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Certificate IV in Community Services Work or a related qualification as recognised by DHS.
