- Job Description:
To supervise and support contact visits between children and their parents/guardian or significant family members ensuring that the needs and wellbeing of children and young people are prioritized at all times.
To maintain clear and detailed written records of all observations, interactions and supervised contact visits with parents and children.
To facilitate changeover of children from one parent to another in accordance with clearly defined procedures and practice standards.
To ensure that the program policies and guidelines are adhered to in order to promote and ensure children’s safety and well-being while using the service; including compliance with all policies and procedures of the program and the organisation.
- Requirement:
A relevant qualification or currently studying Social Work, Psychology, or other related discipline relevant to the human services sector.
Understanding of child development, family violence, trauma informed and strength based practice.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, including experience in undertaking observation of parent/child behaviour.
