- Job Description:
Attending to incoming telephone calls, greeting patients, COVID screening and assisting patients with general enquiries;
Register new patients attending the clinic and maintain/update all records;
Create, cancel, or reschedule appointments for clients;
Processing patient billing and receipting for Medicare, private health insurers, DVA, Workcover and TAC, updating patient files, typing of basic medical correspondence;
Diary management for psychiatrists and psychologists.
Experience working as a medical receptionist or similar within a medical practice preferred.
Previous experience using medical software (eg Clinic2Cloud) would be desirable.
Understanding and experience in billing Medicare, private health insurers, DVA, Workcover, TAC, claims and accounts.
Experience within the mental health field is desirable.
Outstanding customer service skills and an enthusiastic and positive 'can do' attitude.
Well organised and able to work well under pressure.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
