An exciting opportunity to join Peninsula Health as a Safer Care Consultant (Quality Coordinator) to support Mental Health services is available for the right candidate. The role is permanent part-time, four days per week. It includes all aspects of safety and quality. The successful incumbent will be responsible for supporting clinical risk management and ensuring organisational readiness for various accreditation processes in Mental Health.

The role includes maintaining various databases, producing reports and identifying themes/trends across the health service. The incumbent will work closely with the Director Safer Care Unit, the Mental Health Executive, other Safer Care Consultants, the Customer Relations Officer, the Consumer Participation Manager, the Quality Data Manager, the Prompt™ administrator and the medico legal team. The incumbent must also foster good working relations with all levels of staff in the organisation. There is also a requirement to attend external meetings with peers from other health service organisations and represent Peninsula Health.

- Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in a healthcare discipline

• Recent clinical experience in a mental health service.

• Experience in the development and implementation of patient safety and improvement

initiatives

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, excel and working knowledge of computer programs and database applications
