- Key Responsibilities:
Liaise with community groups, employer partners, schools and others to create meaningful work and community experiences
Develop and engage with events, programs and opportunities to develop civic and social engagement skills
Collaborate with Imact21 staff, as well as education partner and participants, to align experiences with curriculum and develop authentic supplementary material
Lead program roll out and pilot evaluation, collating recommendations for updates that improve program quality
Participate in activities such as parent meetings; Inclusion Foundation staff meetings; key-stakeholder meetings; and Impact21 team meetings
Maintain a safe environment and adhere to OH&S policy and procedures
Work to strict policies and procedures as governed by the Impact21 program and national teaching standards in Australia
Undertake other duties, which are appropriate to the level of the position, as directed by the Impact21 Manager
- Requirments:
Degree level or higher in Education, Community Development, Disability, Psychology
A demonstrated commitment to developing young people with disability and an understanding of intellectual disability and the implications for teaching and learning
Demonstrated knowledge of initiatives in creating meaningful work experience opportunities for young people with disability and employer partners
Experience working with young people with intellectual disabilities with high expectations of achieving independence and sustainable employment goals
Experience coaching young people in work experience, Duke of Edinburgh, volunteering, or other extra-curricular civic engagement activities
Knowledge of industry-endorsed micro-credentials desirable
Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and high level of interpersonal skills including a capacity to develop constructive relationships with participants and their support networks, and other staff
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning to enable further development of skills, expertise, and teaching capacity.
Demonstrated ability to support the social and personal development of students and an understanding of positive behaviour support.
Current Australian Federal Police clearance, WWCC and NDIS compliance check.
