- Job description:
You will be responsible for working with participants and their families to make the most of their NDIS plan. The successful candidate will assist participants to strengthen their ability to manage their own plan and in turn, enable greater independence across all domains of their life.
As the intermediary for service establishment, you will be a positive and influential representative for your diverse range of clients. This role includes researching, coordinating and seeking support for participants. You will also be responsible for establishing relationships necessary to support your client to increase inclusivity within their community. Choice and control are at the forefront whilst assisting your clients to choose and evaluate supports that will meet their goals. You will be based at our Melbourne office, however you will be required to travel across the region regularly.

You will maintain a highly customer-centric approach and professionalism as you assist your client to determine and secure appropriate services. Ideally you will also have:
An understanding of the NDIS and its impact on the lives of people with a disability
Advanced communication skills, which will aid in navigating a range of activity and functions within the community
An ethical and professional approach to work to maintain the dignity and privacy of participants
The ability to work independently and with limited supervision in your day-to-day work
Excellent time management skills to ensure administrative responsibilities are met
Familiarity with local services and opportunities within the community
A relevant qualification (Disability, Health, Psychology, social work or education) would be desirable but not essential. As well as experience working with people with a disability in a capacity building role with an understanding of funded and unfunded supports within the sector.
The successful candidate will be required to provide clear probity checks including a NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check and valid Driver Licence prior to commencing employment.
- Salary: between $74,000 and $79,000 (based upon experience and qualifications) plus superannuation.
