- Program Description:
The Community Integration and Accommodation Options (CIAO) program sits within the Homelessness and Family Services portfolio at MCM. It consists of two areas of focus: Lead Tenant accommodation and Targeted Care Packages (TCP). The CIAO program supports young people under the age of 18 and aims to assist them to develop the skills necessary for healthy and sustainable, independent living within their community of choice. CIAO facilitates a beneficial and meaningful transition from Out-of-Home Care toward self-sufficiency. On exiting the CIAO program, young people are assisted to access permanent, affordable housing.
- Job Description:
To provide holistic supports to young people experiencing trauma, substance misuse, mental health issues, and housing instability
To work within a multi-disciplinary framework to enhance service delivery to individuals
To develop, implement and review all client management and support plans
To deliver a high quality service to all stakeholders providing care
- Requirement:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Community Services, Social Work or Youth Work
Demonstrated knowledge of adolescent development, including the impacts of family violence, substance use, and disability on attachment and resilience
Experience and understanding of service systems, relevant legislation and practice including corrective services, DFFH child protection, drug and alcohol and mental health services
Ability to intensively case manage clients who have experienced residential care services
