As a Recovery Worker (Mental Health Workers), you are integral to the Dandenong Youth PARC (YPARC) as you will work closely with participants in their recovery journey. You will work with them individually and with their clinical care teams, and in leading a range of groups and activities onsite. Our Recovery Workers also provide key operational support and help create new innovations and improvements for the ongoing quality of the program.
You will assist community members by having a great understanding of what they require to successfully meet their recovery goals. With an understanding of members with mental health issues and resilience, you will be able to motivate them to make changes within their lives. Our multidisciplinary recovery teams are creative, motivated and focused on ensuring positive experiences for participants and their loved ones.
PARCS operate 24/7 on a rotating roster and penalty rates apply for afternoon and weekend hours. Dandenong Youth PARC has a 0.7 FTE Part-Time position (53.2 hrs per fortnight) which will include Sleepover and weekend shifts.
- Requirement:
To be successful in this role
Diploma in Mental Health, AOD or related field or tertiary qualifications in social science or related discipline
Experience in mental health Residential settings will be highly regarded.
Current valid Driver's License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
Right to Work within Australia
Satisfactory National Police Records Check
NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
Evidence of COVID vaccination with booster or valid medical exemption
