- Job Description:
Develop trusting relationships with consumers through the lens of mutual experience, and by offering empathy, compassion, choice and empowerment
1:1 intentional peer support
Facilitate and develop Group Programs
Uphold a culture of hope by using optimistic language, supporting people and celebrating consumers’ recovery efforts
Work within the recovery orientated practice using Strengths Model of Care, promoting consumer engagement
- Requirement:
A lived experience of mental illness
2-3 years' experience working within public mental health
Appropriate IT skills such as use of Microsoft office suite
Strong communication skills and able to work cooperatively in a team environment
Able to design, deliver and evaluate group programs
Commitment to recovery oriented practice in mental health rehabilitation
Able to support consumers and carers to promote self-determination, personal strengths and enable progress towards reaching individual goals
Current National Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain
